Seven Crucial Questions for Stefan Nielsen of CHAINED!

1. From The Dark : What's the current lineup for Chained, and where are you all from?

Chained:

David Sandström - Vocals/Guitar

Daniel Persson - Guitar

Stefan Nielsen - Drums

Jonas Stenlund - Bass

We are all from different parts of Sweden, we met when we studied at the University of Music in Pitea.

2. FTD: When did you guys start Chained?

Chained: Stefan and Daniel came up with the idea and started forming a band back in april 2006. David joined in november 2006 and Jonas started playing in the band in late 2007.

3. FTD: Why did you start Chained?

Chained: Daniel and Stefan wanted a musical output for their faith and they were both into metal. It was only natural to start a Christian metal band. We see Chained as a radical worship band where our mission is to spread the word of God through our music. But also to strengthen the faith of those who already believe.

4. FTD: We've heard and reviewed your current album "Grateful Sinner" and we love it. Tell us about it.

Chained: During the recordings we had a lot of problems, but we managed to struggle through and we are very happy with the results. Musically the songs on the album vary in styles from heavy grooves to soft picking, from bluesy shuffle to raw straightforward shredding without losing the thrashy feeling. Lyrically we focus on our Lord, Jesus Christ. Describing what He has done and what is to come, seeking strength and redemption. But we also write about the thoughts and experiences we have as Christians.

6. FTD: Are you guys working on a new record?

Chained: We've had a busy schedule during the summer and fall. But we are in the process of beginning to write some new material.

Chained: Put your faith in Jesus, He died for you!
